Betnovate C Cream 30gm
Medical Description
Betnovate-C cream is a medication applied directly to the skin. It is commonly used to treat various skin conditions, such as dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, and allergic contact dermatitis. Betnovate-C cream is a combination medicine containing betamethasone and clioquinol as the active ingredients. Betamethasone is a steroid that helps reduce the skin's redness and itchiness. Clioquinol helps to reduce skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi.
Skin disorders like psoriasis and eczema can cause itchy, red rashes on areas like the elbows, knees, scalp and other body parts. Dermatitis occurs when the skin reacts to external agents such as chemicals, cleaning agents, plants and cosmetics, leading to redness and itchiness.
Use Betnovate-C exactly as your doctor prescribed. It is meant for external applications only. Do not ingest it. Apply a thin layer of Betnovate-C cream and gently rub it in to cover the affected area. Do not apply this cream to a larger skin area or for more than the prescribed duration. You should keep the affected area clean and avoid touching, scraping, or rubbing the affected skin.
Before starting treatment with Betnovate-C cream, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. Also, notify the doctor of all other topical medicines you use.
